Meet the Team

Christen

Store Owner

Christen Tese has always had a passion for helping others. She honorably served as a firefighter/EMT in Mecklenburg County for 13 years before deciding to follow her passion to help the strong, brave women in the breast cancer community.

 

Christen founded Pink Ribbon Gals in April, 2022.  Located in Indian Land, SC, Pink Ribbon Gals is a state of the art durable medical equipment facility for women in need of breast prostheses, mastectomy/lumpectomy bras, compression garments and wigs. Christen has achieved the necessary certifications and Board Accreditations to best serve these amazing women. Customer service, care and compassion are her top priorities. Christen and her staff have one mission, NOBODY FIGHTS ALONE!

MaryAnn 

Office Manager

MaryAnn is originally from NY. She has always had a desire to help others. This desire led her to serve as a NYC police officer and ultimately a detective. After retiring, the Tese family moved to Florida before finally settling in the Charlotte NC area in 2007. MaryAnn loves to travel and meet new people. As the office manager at PRG, she performs as a problem solver and supporter for the customers and coworkers. As a breast cancer survivor, she can completely relate to her clients and lend support, so they are reminded that everyday has at least one ray of sunshine. Her coworkers have become family and she has become part of theirs.

Fran 

Receptionist / Certified Mastectomy Fitter

Fran was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. She lost her mom to breast cancer in 2006 and was always looking for a way to honor her. She states “I was ecstatic when I received the call from Pink Ribbon Gals letting me know they were opening up a facility and wanted me to be a part of it.”

Eileen

Certified Mastectomy Fitter

Eileen has called SC home for the last 18 years. She has a passion for helping others and spent her career in Public Service. She continues to fulfil this position through her work at PRG. This job is also very personal for Eileen. While she is not a survivor, she has walked next to her sister (her hero) through her breast cancer journey She continues to be inspired each day by all of the strong, amazing ladies that walk through the door.

Baylie

Certified Mastectomy Fitter

Baylie is originally from West Palm Beach FL. She graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree sociology. She and her family relocated to Indian Land, SC in 2000. Baylie is a breast cancer survivor. Baylie was blessed to find Pink Ribbon Gals right after her diagnosis. She felt like family the second she walked in the door.

LeAnne 

Certified Mastectomy Fitter

LeAnne is originally from Burlington, NC. She graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Special Education and later received a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. Her family relocated from Maine to Fort Mill, SC in 2010.  After working with children and adults with special needs for 37 years, she made the decision to retire.  Her retirement plans, however, took an unexpected path when she was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in May, 2021.  During rounds of chemo, surgery and radiation she was so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers she received.  It was at this time she met Christen, the owner of Pink Ribbon Gals.  LeAnne began working at Pink Ribbon Gals in May 2023 as a Certified Mastectomy Fitter.  She never thought her path would lead her here but loves the opportunity she now has to give back the love and support she received during her cancer journey.

Pam 

Wig Specialist / Makeup Artist

Pam is originally from Queens, NY. Pam worked as a hairstylist/ Educator at a top salon on Long Island in New York. Pam moved from Long Island, NY to Lake Wylie, SC in 2021.  Pam decided to retire when she was diagnosed with Her2 positive, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in October 2019. She underwent chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery by herself as it was beginning of the pandemic. Pam began working at Pink Ribbon Gals on May 11th, 2022, as a Wig Specialist. She is grateful to be able to do what she loves and be able to help women who are currently walking down the same road that she has once walked down.
